Holding it all down
Taking care of home
There whenever I’m needed
Giving more than I own.
Misunderstood and taken for granted
Feeling less than I’m worth
Back here where I’m planted.
Whining don’t change a thing
With dreams hiding on a dusty shelf,
And complaining won’t make a difference
When I give all and leave me bereft,
So it’s about time
I step out into the forefront
And finally do something for myself.
